Mushroom Bites

These little bites are rich, savory, and full of flavor. Crispy bacon, buttery mushrooms, and creamy cheese come together in one irresistible package. They are just as good as a party appetizer as they are for a cozy night in.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz bacon

  • 12 mushrooms

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 9 oz (about 1¼ cups) cream cheese

  • 3 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions
Oven Method
  1. Heat things up
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a medium baking dish with butter.

  2. Get that bacon crispy
Fry the bacon until golden and crunchy. Let it cool, then crush it into small crumbs. Save the bacon fat for later.

  3. Prep the mushrooms
Twist off the mushroom stems and chop them finely. Sauté the stems in the bacon fat, adding butter if needed.

  4. Mix the magic
In a bowl, combine the crumbled bacon, sautéed stems, cream cheese, chives, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.

  5. Fill them up
Place the mushroom caps in the baking dish and spoon the filling into each one.

  6. Bake and enjoy
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the mushrooms are golden brown and bubbly.

Air Fryer Method
  1. Follow steps 2 through 5 from above.

  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  3. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in the basket, leaving a little space between them.

  4. Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and sizzling.
